Flying over Thailand - january 22 2010

This was in january 2010. I went to visit a friend from USA in Bangkok. He introduced me to Ed which is a
pilot. He offered me to go with him to flight in Cambodia over the killing fields.

The pilot had begun to inflate  the envelope by opening the burner

The pilot checked the weather three times before departure.

 They are gone

During most of the flight, the weather was favourable, but toward the end of the flight the pilot was monitoring some unfavourable weather conditions east of his flight path.
After leaving the outskirts of the temple, the pilot attempted to land several times in different fields but chose to overshoot because of the wind speed and unfavourable ground conditions or obstacles.
Which was only a test flight supposed to land and return, finally last 5 hours.

This was near Pattaya,january 22th 2010.

Working People in Issan - typical outdoor kitchen

Working people

In Issan, most of the people cook outside. This is a typical outdoor kitchen. Also, most of the time, they sell food and drinks and other goods to turns into a convenience store. Not much money earned, but in poor villages, all extra money is more than welcome.

She always invited me every time i passed in front and greeted me while passing on a motorbike.

Here, she is preparing Som tam sometimes called papaya pok pok! It is a spicy papaya salad.

The dish combines the four main tastes of the local cuisine: sour lime, hot chili, salty, savory fish sauce, and sweetness added by palm sugar.
The ingredients are mixed and pounded in a mortar.(source: Wikipedia)
